Cricket need to be like football!

Cricket a game of 5 days (in real) need to be promoted like that of football. Football is a game played all over the world and as far as i know there ranking is around 120. Its preety bad because with this you can not qualify for any big event.

Cricket a game played mostly in 15 countries and football a game played in more then 150 countries. The reason behind this is test cricket. Test cricket a 5 day long version of cricket has hampered his own development. Countries like USA, Netherlands, etc. do not have much time to devote this game. They need a game of shorter version and nothing is best them for other then T20 Leagues.

You would be surprised that there is even 6 over league matches. This matches are played in Singapore and Malaysia mostly once in a year. This game just end in an 1 hour while the other shorter version end in 3 Hours (T20).

To promote a football like cricket, ICC need to rethink on whole development. To get 150+ Countries you need to promote a cricket in those countries and from my view point 6 Over matches and T20 are best of them.

it is true that with the advent of shorter versons of cricket, every game is getting more and more exciting. But equally true is the fact that the subtle points of the game will just fade away, if shorter formats are encouraged at the cost of the older ones.
take for example, test cricket, although a test match takes utmost of 5 days, they are in no way less exciting than the T20 games.5 day games have their charms- like how to score, how much to score, how to use the scarce resources over a 5 day period, when to declare and whether to be agressive or defensive. Any mistake in one; ruins the entire effort.
That apart, one can't say test cricket is not evolving. In the early eighties, a draw was considered a virtue. Now teams play to win the game. So evolution is every where.
No sport can be copy cat of the other one. It is al right to copy the good economic models, but blindly copying a sport sometimes does more damage than good, as in this mindless following, finer points of the sport get ignored

Leagues like IPL is hopefully the start of a new era in cricket. In the future i guess it would be T20 and ODIs that will dominate. 5 days mathes would be rare.

future may be one 6-6 thats six over game. Usually every year a tournament of six over is played in Malaysia and Singapore. Also to extract other countries ICC need to redefine the game structure.

you guys definately correct but ICC is looking slowly but gradually there. Hope in future there will be atleast 100 countires.
